I'm posting this early, as I won't be anywhere near a computer all day tomorrow. This was taken around lunchtime yesterday, in the same direction as my previous SkyWatch photo, but in much less summery conditions. It wasn't actually raining, but it looked as though it wanted to! The lack of sailing boats on the Bay makes the weather look a bit grottier than it actually was.
I'd also like to say thank you to everyone who posted comments last week, I really appreciate the welcome!

It's an interesting comparison. What really fascinates me is the change in the visible shoreline - I don't recognise anything!
Earth, water, and sky are one!
This is another nice photo for SKF. I am glad you got a lot of responses last week and maybe you will get even more this week.
LBN: Very nice panorama you have there for SWF.
Thank you for joining in with Sky Watch this week and helping to make it special.

Perfect Sky watch shot. Great blue colour:)
Petunia's SWF
Very nice... The sky looks a little threatening, doesn't it? Good job and glad you are liking the skywatch!
Mountain Retreat
This looks so soft and peaceful.
Very neat!
Excellent photo with a very beautiful sky and colors expetaculares, congratulations.
Magnificent photo with color and a very beautiful sky
what does grottier mean - foggier?
Good contrast, Viv.
I'm a LOL-less blogger too. You might get the occasional :) though. That Bayko site is very enthusiastic.
wow! great catch for SWF! the twinkling sky seemed to throbs off to one body, timed for a common pulse. Mine's up too hope you can drop by.
Beautiful!!
Another good one!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Nice photo.
Beautiful colours. :)
The sky sure did look like it wanted to rain. Nice shot!
good pic
Welcome back to Sky Watch. This is another very nice photo, which goes to prove that you can get well-done, interesting shots even when the sun is *not* shining. Hope to see you next week.
Welcome to skywatch. It does have a misty eerie feel.
Love your blog name.
Beautiful setting
:) It's such a blue-tiful photo! :D
Great photo!
"Grottier" is an interesting word. Not sure what it means ... dull, drab, unexciting, mundane? Happy SWF!
Fantastic Shots. Great Sky Watch.

Perfect shot for swf!
Perfect shot for swf!
That's one leaden sky. It looks like it's about to wring itself out! Welcome to Skywatch! Nice shot!
Marcia and Chuck, one definition of "grotty" is "very unpleasant, miserable" - an appropriate word for the way the weather looks in that photo, but appearances can be deceptive as it actually wasn't bad out at the time!
Thank you, everyone, for the kind comments.
When I mentioned the change I didn't mean zoom. The shoreline never looked like that in my day! But then, I'm just over twice your age dear!!!
