I thought I'd post a bit of an explanation of the lace loom I got at Knit Nation. This is the model I have, and here is a video explaining how it works.
I haven't used it yet, too many other projects on the go, but I've got some ideas for it and will post them here when I get to them!

So that's what it is! I first heard about hairpin lace when you were still very tiny, but I never tried it. It's fun that you're going to try it now. The video makes it look very awkward - though I'm sure it goes quite quickly once you have the rhythm. Now I can't wait to see what you make!
BTW, your new background is very colourful.
