SkyWatch Friday

I'm posting this early, as I won't be anywhere near a computer all day tomorrow. This was taken around lunchtime yesterday, in the same direction as my previous SkyWatch photo, but in much less summery conditions. It wasn't actually raining, but it looked as though it wanted to! The lack of sailing boats on the Bay makes the weather look a bit grottier than it actually was.

I'd also like to say thank you to everyone who posted comments last week, I really appreciate the welcome!

It's an interesting comparison. What really fascinates me is the change in the visible shoreline - I don't recognise anything!

Very nice... The sky looks a little threatening, doesn't it? Good job and glad you are liking the skywatch!

Good contrast, Viv.
I'm a LOL-less blogger too. You might get the occasional :) though. That Bayko site is very enthusiastic.

wow! great catch for SWF! the twinkling sky seemed to throbs off to one body, timed for a common pulse. Mine's up too hope you can drop by.

Welcome back to Sky Watch. This is another very nice photo, which goes to prove that you can get well-done, interesting shots even when the sun is *not* shining. Hope to see you next week.

"Grottier" is an interesting word. Not sure what it means ... dull, drab, unexciting, mundane? Happy SWF!

That's one leaden sky. It looks like it's about to wring itself out! Welcome to Skywatch! Nice shot!

Marcia and Chuck, one definition of "grotty" is "very unpleasant, miserable" - an appropriate word for the way the weather looks in that photo, but appearances can be deceptive as it actually wasn't bad out at the time!

Thank you, everyone, for the kind comments.

When I mentioned the change I didn't mean zoom. The shoreline never looked like that in my day! But then, I'm just over twice your age dear!!!
